The Australian High Commission in London is the Australian Government's main diplomatic representative body in the UK. The Australian High Commission provides consular and diplomatic services to Australian citizens in the UK, and provides visa and immigration services to people in the UK who are travelling or emigrating to Australia.
The Australian High Commission in London is known colloquially as Australia House.
Office hours are from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, except for UK bank and Australian national holidays.
Australian High Commissions, Embassies and Consulates can be found in most capital cities around the world.
Listed below are the countries and cities where an Australian diplomatic mission is situated, (including embassies, High Commissions, consulates, consulates-general and other delegations) and links to their main page.
The Migration Branch of the Australian High Commission is located in Australia House in London, and it acts as an overseas representative of the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).
The Migration Branch, however, does not provide any individual counselling or specific advice to potential migrants. For this reason the Australian High Commission advises potential migrants obtain help from a Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) certified migration agent.
