Working Holiday Visa For Canada: Europe

The Working Holiday program for the following countries is administered from London:

• United Kingdom;
• Denmark;
• Finland;

The Working Holiday Program for the following European countries is administered locally:

• France;
• Germany;
• Ireland;
• The Netherlands.

United Kingdom

There are two streams of the Canadian Working Holiday Program available to United Kingdom citizens:

Program A

Student General Working Holiday Requirements:

• You must be citizen of United Kingdom;
• You must be a full-time student in the UK or completed your studies within the previous 12 months;
• Aged 18-30 (inclusive);
• First come first served basis;
• Applications take 4-6 weeks to process;
• No fee payable;
• Visa valid for 12 months; and
• Have a written job offer from a Canadian employer.

Program B

British Universities North American Club (BUNAC)

Requirements are similar to Program A EXCEPT you don't need a written job offer from a Canadian employer.

Other Requirements:

• Must be full-time student, recent graduate or Gap year student;
• Must have $1000 CAD in bank account; and
• Fee for this program: approximately 100 pounds.

Denmark

Applicants must:

• Be citizens of and resident in Denmark;
• Be aged between 18 and 35 (inclusive);
• Not have taken part in the Working Holiday Program previously.

There is no fee applicable. The maximum validity of a work permit issued under this program is 12 months and cannot be renewed.

Finland

There are two streams of the Canadian Working Holiday Program available to Finnish citizens:

Student Working Holiday Program

Requirements:

• Must be between 18-30;
• Must be full-time student in Finnish university or polytechnic; and
• Must be Finnish citizen;
• 4-6 weeks to process application; and
• 6 month validity.
