Major promotion to boost travel to Australia planned for October

Emirates Airline has teamed up with Tourism Australia with a new advertising campaign designed to show British travellers why 'there's nothing like Australia'.

Emirates and Tourism Australia will be running a major campaign to encourage Britons to visit Australia.

The campaign - which will run in print, online, in cinemas and on the radio throughout October – will highlight some of the unique holiday experience in the country and is part of a series of marketing events designed to increase the number of tourists to Australia.

All tourists to Australia, unless they have an Australian or New Zealand passport, must have an Australian Tourist Visa. The most popular of these visas is the ETA Visa or Electronic Travel Authority as it can be quickly applied for online and is approved almost instantly.

Emirates is a popular carrier to Australia, operates one-stop flights to Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne from London Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow airports via Dubai.

Rodney Harrex, Tourism Australia's regional manager in the UK and Europe, said: "British holidaymakers have had a long-standing fascination with Australia and those that haven't visited before will get a real sense of our wonderful wildlife, beautiful landscapes and friendly locals from this campaign.

“Those that have holidayed in Oz before will recognise many of the incredible experiences we're showcasing and will be reminded of what made their last trip to Australia so special.”
