British and Germans taking advantage of Australian working holiday

One in three international visitors to Australia are from either Britain or Germany, according to a new report. The research from Greyhound Australia has also revealed that the majority of travellers on its coaches were in the country on an Australian working holiday.

Robert Thomas, chief executive of Greyhound Australia, told news.com: "Of those international tourists who prefer to travel all around Australia and not just the capital cities, 20 per cent are from the United Kingdom, 13 per cent German, eight per cent Canadian, six per cent Irish and five per cent are from New Zealand." He added that the survey covered more than 2,500 people and made for some "interesting reading". People looking to travel and work at the same time in Australia can apply for an Australian working holiday through an Australia working holiday visa online assessment.

Greyhound Australia is the only national coach company in the country and travels to 11,000 destinations daily.
