Many people want to relocate to Australia for the lifestyle

Many people from the UK are applying for an Australian visa for lifestyle choices. According to Shelter Offshore, many British people feel relocating to Australia will provide a more relaxed pace of life.

Rhiannon Davies, director of the company, said: "It's about lifestyle, the cost of living, the weather and the broad opportunities that Australia seems to offer." She added that the common language between the two countries drives more British people to apply for an Australian visa.

Ms Davies also commented the work environment suits many people more, as it is relaxed and informal. It is also easy to find employment as the country is seeking "well skilled and qualified Britons" to migrate. She concludes: "All in all, for many Brits, Australia just seems like such a better choice." NatWest has reinforced these views, with a survey having found the average British person earns £47,000, compared with Australia's £67,000.

Australia needs skilled workers: Anyone applying for an Australian visa should begin by completing the Australian Visa Bureau's online Australian visa application to see if they meet the Australian visa requirements.
