UK Working Holiday Visas

The UK offers the Working Holidaymaker Visa so that young commonwealth citizens can explore the UK and earn money while they travel.

UK Working Holiday Visas are for people who wish to combine an extended holiday in the UK with some form of work to cover their holiday expenses.

Applicants must be between 17 and 30 and have no dependent children over the age of 5.
Applicants must be single, or be in a relationship with someone who also qualifies for a working holiday visa, and intends to use it at the same time.
Applicants must be a citizen of one of the Participating Countries.
Applicants must have sufficient funds to support themselves without accessing public funds.
Applicants must not have had a working holiday visa before.
Applicants must not intend to set up a business or work as a professional sports person.
Applicants must intend to leave the UK after the 2 years expire.

Allows visa holders to spend up to 2 years on holiday in the UK. During those 2 years they may work for up to 12 months; however the purpose of the visit should primarily be for a holiday, not to work.
