Perth company needs Australian immigration to fill jobs

A company in Perth has said that there is no point in having plenty of jobs if there are no workers to fill them. They continued to state, that it needs workers from abroad taking advantage of Australian immigration in order to fill the gaps. The firm, CAPS, is a compressed air and power generation company which employs 200 people in Australia and New Zealand, reports the Australian.

Tom Karmel, managing director at CAPS, said: "We use a recruitment firm and we advertise widely but I have also had to rely on employing foreign workers. I have been paying the recruitment firm a retainer for four months to fill at least one of those spots and they haven't been able to do so." The firm employs people from Britain, Zimbabwe, Germany and South Africa on visas such as Australian sponsored visas and Australian spouse and family visas.

Meanwhile, the state government of Western Australia has announced new funding to attract skilled workers to the tourism industry.

Australia needs skilled workers: Anyone interested in Australian immigration should complete the Australia Visa Bureau's online assessment to see if they qualify for skilled migration to Australia.
