Changes to Tier 4 Student Visa applications come into effect February
Changes to the UK student visa application process come into effect on 22 February.
UK immigration have announced that any student who applies by post or at one of their public enquiry offices to study under a Tier 4 Student Visa of the points-based system must possess a confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) from their prospective education sponsor.
From 22 February, it will no longer be possible to apply for a Tier 4 Student Visa using the previous system of a visa letter, even if the visa letter was issued before 22 February 2010.
Until 21 February 2010, applicants can continue to apply under Tier 4 using a visa letter, even if your course of study will start after 22 February 2010.
These changes are part of a continuing review of the UK Tier 4 Student Visa system.
