The Canadian High Commission will host the 7th Canadian Education Fair in Nigeria, for parents, teachers and students to gain more information about study in Canada.

The Canadian High Commission in Nigeria is holding a Canadian education fair to help students make informed decisions about study in Canada.
The Canadian Deputy High Commissioner, Mr Jean Gauthier, said the event will allow students and the general public to meet with representatives of about 35 Canadian institutions and will help them make informed decisions on the courses of study in Canada.
“Studying in Canada is cheaper than anywhere else in the world. The fair is to showcase the possibilities that exist in Canada which will guide students, parents, teachers and counsellors to make the right decisions,” Mr Gauthier said at a press conference in Lagos.
Officials from the Canadian High Commission visa section will also be at the fair to discuss study permits and visas.
“It is always advisable that visa applications with all relevant documents are submitted early, at least three months beforehand,” Mr Gauthier said.
The Canadian education fair will be held on 3 February at the Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Abuja and on 5-6 February, 2010 at the Lagoon Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos.
