The father will move to Adelaide but will use the internet to work a minimum of one day a week, in what the publication believes is a world first. When Mr Taylor told his employers he was leaving they devised the plan to keep him with the council until a replacement is found.
Mr Taylor and his wife will relocate to the Australian city with their three children, aged 12, nine and two years old. Geoff Harper, the Council's Leader, told the publication: "We have found an exciting and innovative way of retaining his considerable expertise until we have recruited someone to replace him."
