Eight Australians granted UK visas to play Super League

After much anticipation, eight Australian Rugby League players will be moving to the UK to play for the Celtic Crusaders in the Super League competition, reports BBC News.

The eight players have been waiting for approval of their UK visa applications in the lead-up to the opening match in Leeds on 6 February.  The eight players will now arrive in England on Sunday to start training with their new team members.

The changing of regulations in the Canberra British High Commission meant that UK visa applications are having a tougher time being approved.  This month, star player Michael Crocker had his application rejected for a UK work permit, and cannot play for Hull FC as planned.
