Direct recruiting for New Zealand immigration

New Zealand companies in the city of Hamilton are using a business development centre recruitment scheme to attract skilled British workers to consider New Zealand immigration. It is possible to secure a job offer through the scheme, which will entitle applicants for a New Zealand visa to extra assessment points for residency.

The scheme wants to sell the Waikato region directly to UK skilled workers like aircraft technician Ian Archibald from Hull. The Waikato Times reports he moved to New Zealand with a job already to walk into at a growing aerospace company that is struggling to find skilled technicians. He told the newspaper he was happy with his new job and that his family had settled in well.

His employer, Pacific Aerospace said it is difficult to find skilled workers locally and it hopes to add more employees to its 140-strong team through the scheme.

New Zealand needs skilled workers: anyone interested in New Zealand immigration should complete the New Zealand Visa Bureau's online New Zealand visa assessment to see if they qualify for a New Zealand visa.
