New Zealand immigration makes it easier to make the move

People taking up New Zealand immigration will have a customs barrier removed from November 15th as the authorities introduce duty-free entry for household goods.

The new rules apply to people on long-term temporary New Zealand visas such as long-term business and work to residence New Zealand visas.

All baggage and effects, including motor vehicles, household effects, ships and aircraft will no longer be subject to any customs duty.

People who hold a current New Zealand residence visa or permit, or returning resident's visa, a work visa or work permit issued for a minimum of 12 months, a current visitor's visa or permit issued for a minimum of three years, or a New Zealand or Australian passport will all qualify.

New Zealand welcomes skilled migrants: Anyone interested in New Zealand immigration should complete the New Zealand Visa Bureau's online New Zealand visa assessment to see if they qualify for a New Zealand visa.
