New Zealand Study Permit

New Zealand immigration has seen an increase in the number of Indians coming to the country with a New Zealand Study Permit.

Some 9,591 Indians were issued a New Zealand Student Permit for the financial year 2008-09, in comparison to 2,972 for the year 2004-05.

From 1 July, 2009 to 31 January, 2010, a total of 5,544 Indian student permit applications have been approved by New Zealand immigration.

The most popular source countries for international students to New Zealand are China, followed by India, but despite China holding the top position the number of Chinese students has slowly decreased from 52,059 to 26,518 in the past four years.
