Auckland best airport for travelling to New Zealand

The best international airports in the world have been announced and a New Zealand airport has scored a place in the top ten.

Seoul's Incheon International Airport was named the world's best in the annual World Airport Awards and Auckland, a popular entry point for those travelling to New Zealand, came in at tenth place in the survey.

The survey is conducted with 8.6 million air passengers, covering more than 190 airports worldwide, and evaluates traveler experiences across 39 different airport service and product factors - from check-in, arrivals, and transfer through to departure at the gate.

Auckland also named the best airport in the Australasia/Pacific region, with Brisbane and Melbourne named the second and third best airports in the region.

New Zealand is a favourite destination for young British travellers looking to work to supplementing their travel.  The New Zealand working holiday visa allows travellers from certain countries to work and travel New Zealand for up to twelve months if they are aged between 18 and 30 years.  British travellers have the added advantage of extending their working holiday visa for an extra 11 months.
