Canadian working holiday agreement for young Taiwanese to commence 1 July

The Taiwanese and Canadian working holiday agreement will commence next week, opening up opportunities for young Taiwanese to work and travel in Canada.

Canadian visa

A Canadian Visa agreement for young Taiwanese will open on 1 July.

The Canadian Working Holiday program will be open for applications on 1 July.
In April, Canada and Taiwan signed a reciprocal agreement with Taiwan to permit young people to travel and work in the two countries.

Taiwanese and Canadians aged 18 to 35, who meet the financial, character and other requirements, will be allowed to work and travel on a multi-entry visa that is valid for up to one year.

Canada became the fourth country to sign a working holiday agreement with Taiwan, after Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
Initially, there will only be 200 Canadian Visas available a year for Taiwanese youth.
