A new report has been released by the DIBP enclosing details of migration trends in 2012-2013. The report provides a variety of information on migration, countries of origin, citizenship grants and the international student visa programme
Australia's Migration Trends Report for 2012-2013 has been released
A new report has been released by the DIBP enclosing details of migration trends in 2012-2013. The report provides a variety of information on migration, countries of origin, citizenship grants and the international student visa programme. Some report highlights include;
- 207,900 migrants settled permanently in Australia, up 7.7%
- 126,350 Subclass 457 visas were granted
- 60,185 family stream visas were granted
- 20,019 visas were granted under the Humanitarian stream
- The international student visa grants were the highest since the GFC
- Tourist numbers from China increased by 25% during the year.
