UK Visa approval waiting times to be reduced for Indian applicants
Indian applicants for a UK Visa can expect a shorter waiting period when the new visa processing facilities is implemented in two weeks, the deputy British High Commissioner said.
The deputy British High Commissioner for eastern India, Sanjay Wadvani, said the waiting time for a UK Visa is expected to drop from the present 15 days to 10 days after the new system commences.
“We have simplified our visa process and most of the rejections are due to incomplete application forms which we receive. In the next week or two, the waiting period for a UK visa will come down to ten days,” said Mr Wadvani told a meeting organised by the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce.
Over a million Indian visitors pass through UK immigration every year.
