ESTA - Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). The purpose of the ESTA is “to determine the eligibility of, and whether there exists a law enforcement or security risk in permitting, the alien to travel to the United States. Upon review of such biographical information, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall determine whether the alien is eligible to travel to the United States under the program.” 8 U.S.C. 1187(a)(11)
The ESTA is not a visa but a supplementary authorization to travel that all entrants coming to the United States through the Visa Waiver Progam (VWP) must complete. It is not intended for persons who wish to work or remain permanently in the United States and only grants entry to the United States for 90 days or less as a non-immigrant visitor for business or pleasure.

Service provided, as per the Terms and Conditions, to include:
Upon Client completion of the ESTA application form provided on the Visa Bureau website, your request for an ESTA will be processed automatically (instantly) or by a Visa Bureau processing agent within 3 business days under normal circumstances.
Your ESTA grant is subject to approval from the United States Government. If your ESTA is approved, we will send confirmation via the contact details you have provided. Visa Bureau cannot accept responsibility if any or part of these details was entered incorrectly.
The fee for the service processing of the ESTA is £15 and is non-refundable.
This includes the United States Department of Homeland Security fee, which is set at US$14. $4 of this fee will go to administrative costs and $10 will go towards funding the activities of the Corporation for Travel Promotion.
As multiple ESTA applications are available under one transaction, the fee payer is deemed to have informed all parties applying under the application of these terms and conditions and accepts responsibility for this.
The fee is for the services stated above. You acknowledge that you are responsible for any additional fees that may be required including but not limited to, medicals, chest X-rays, court documents, couriers, certified copies, police checks, passport renewals and charges relating to the changing of Travel Plans.
Please note: While the Visa Bureau will endeavour to process the application in the shortest possible timescale, it does not provide any guarantees on how long it will take to process your ESTA. We strongly recommend that you do not make any travel booking until you have confirmation of your ESTA.
In most circumstances, the ESTA is processed INSTANTLY; after your application is submitted, processing starts immediately and in 90% of cases confirmation of the ESTA grant is received within seconds.
If your ESTA application is granted, Visa Bureau will send confirmation details by email. If your ESTA application is returned as 'pending', it may take up to 72 hours for a decision to be made. If your ESTA application is refused, you will require a full visa for travel, for which the American Visa Bureau will not be able to assist you with.
Visa Bureau only processes ESTA applications; we do not and will not offer advice on how to proceed or what to do in the event your ESTA application is referred or refused. The fee paid includes processing of the ESTA only and does not include any appeals or additional services. The cost of the ESTA application is non-refundable and should your application be refused, you will not be issued a refund.
As advised above, your ESTA request is processed within 3 business days. In the event that the request processed on our website establishes that you have an existing ESTA, the fee you have paid is non-refundable. In such circumstances, we will issue you with confirmation of your current ETSA status and the charge is applied to recover the use of our system resources.
If the client makes an error on the ESTA application, they can reapply but this will incur another service charge of £15.
Visitors to the United States must be willing and able to abide by the ESTA validity and conditions while in the United States.
