Huge demand seen for New Zealand Silver Fern visa

The New Zealand Sliver Fern Visa proved so popular that all the places available under the 2010-2011 program were taken within half an hour of opening.

New Zealand Visa

The New Zealand Silver Fern Visa proved extremely popular.

The New Zealand Silver Fern Visa is a new program to enable skilled professionals aged between 20 and 35 who meet qualification requirements to enter the country to search for a job. Holders of a Silver Fern Job Search Visa who successfully find employment may then apply for a Silver Fern Practical Experience Visa, which allows them to work for two years.

The New Zealand Immigration application system for the visa opened on 27 April at 10am New Zealand time, and the 300 places were all taken by 10.30am.

If you did not manage to gain a place under this policy, but you have skills and experience that New Zealand needs, you are invited to take a look at other visa options to emigrate to New Zealand including skilled migration.

The New Zealand Silver Fern Job Search Visa is an annual scheme that will open again in 2011.

The New Zealand Visa Bureau is an independent consulting company specialising in helping people with their New Zealand visa applications to the New Zealand Embassy.
