New Zealand Visa Bureau's free online Skilled Migration Visa assessment will provide you with your points score on completion and you will be given the option at that stage to request a free telephonic or email consultation with an experienced migration consultant specialising in evaluating eligibility for migration to New Zealand. As part of this initial free consultation, the consultant will discuss the options open to you and provide you with guidance on what visas are suitable and practical to you situation. Additionally, should you decide to use us to assist you with your skilled migration visa application, your migration consultant will explain our service charges. Our service charges are dependent on both the visa subclass and your own individual circumstances; for example, while our service charge for a child visa can be as low as £600, it can range to £2,400 for some skilled visa applications. This is not inclusive of VAT, the New Zealand government fees or any other costs associated with the application.

The total goverment fee can be anything from NZ$930 for a family category visa to NZ$2,400 for certain skilled visas.

To be eligible for immigration to New Zealand as a skilled migrant you must meet the basic visa requirements.

To be eligible:

You must be under 56 years of age;
You, or you and your family, must meet all health, character and English ability requirements; and
You must be able to meet a pass mark of 100 points in the Points System to register an Expression of Interest.

Health

You, your partner and any dependent children under 17 years of age must complete a health declaration in the Expression of Interest stage to ensure you meet all standard of health requirements.

Character

The NZIS considers a person of good character to be one who does not pose a potential security risk and is unlikely to have served time in prison, been deported from any country or involved in any criminal or dangerous activities.

English Language

Applicants under the Skilled Migrant category, including those aged 16 or over who are accompanying you to New Zealand, will need to meet these English language requirements.
