Canadian jobs market continues to improve

Canada’s employment rate is predicted to improve over the next few months this month and next following on from the record number of jobs added in April, a Canadian job aggregator reported.

The number of new Canadian job postings — an indicator of future hiring intentions — increased by 1.9% in April to 200,924 advertisements, according to the report by CareerAIM.com.

The number of Canadian job postings in April 2010 was an increase of 15.3% from the data for last April.

Canadian employers added almost four times more jobs in April than predicted, the Statistics Canada’s latest labour report revealed, with Eastern provinces leading the gains in new job ads.

The Canadian Job Market Report is published monthly by CareerAIM.com.
