U.S. Gov't reminds Special Immigrant Religious Workers of October changes

- Posted in America by Visa Bureauon 25 September 2008

Authorisation for the non-minister special immigrant religious worker program will expire on 01 October 2008.  This means that two categories for non-minister religious workers visa applications will expire on this date.  This includes special immigrant religious workers in professional or non-professional capacities within a religious vocation or occupation.

Individuals applying to serve in the two non-minister categories of the program must either apply for permanent residence or an immigrant visa (Green Card) before 01 October 2008.  Spouses and children of workers under these categories will also be affected by these changes after the expiry date.
