Ian Jones, NCC's head of content, said: "With some skills moving into shortage, employers should be planning and budgeting for how best to acquire these skills now. It is an unwelcome message but they should be prepared for the extra cost." UK immigration could be used to solve this issue as it can provide companies with skilled workers who are trained and ready to work.

In related news, a new points based system has been launched in the UK, which will mean people taking advantage of UK immigration will need to reach a certain amount of points in order to come to the UK to work.

Anyone interested in getting a better understanding of their current position under UK visa regulations should request a call from a qualified UK Visa Bureau migration consultant to see if they are eligible for migration to the UK, or call direct on Freephone 0800 043 7011. Alternatively, HSMP visa hopefuls should try taking the HSMP online assessment.
