Tourism Australia and Singapore Airlines roll out £1 million British campaign

The deal - worth £1 million - will utilise Tourism Australia's global 'There's nothing like Australia' campaign to promote the country as a reachable destination for British tourists. The campaign will from 7 February, until 7 March, and will be a UK-wide campaign based online and on TV.

The UK's relationship with Australia has significant and historical ties but the distances involved put off some tourists. However, Rodney Harrex, regional general manager for the UK and Northern Europe at Tourism Australia, says the new campaign will show potential tourists the rewards are worth the distances.

"We are delighted to be working with Singapore Airlines to show British holidaymakers why there's nothing like Australia. The advertising creative showcases our wonderful wildflife, incredible coastal experiences and our fantastic food and wine," said Mr Harrex.

"All experiences we know motivate UK travellers to make a booking."

Singapore Airlines also added their excitement about the campaign, announcing a range of low cost fares to support the campaign for both business and economy class travellers.

"Singapore Airlines has been flying customers to Australia for over 45 years, making it a key route for us beyond Singapore," said Wilson Young, Singapore Airline's general manager for the UK and Ireland.

"By combining the iconic Singapore Airlines in-flight service with the benefits of transiting through our Changi hub, customers can arrive ready to discover everything this amazing country has to offer."
