Qatar holds lowest US Visa refusal rate in the Gulf

US Government figures reveal that 96.8 per cent of requests for a US Visa to the US Embassy in Doha up to September 30 this year were approved.

In contrast, the UAE had one of the highest rejection rates, with 9.7 per cent of US Visa applications for tourism purposes being refused.
Kuwait has the second lowest refusal rate with 2.6 per cent.  Bahrain had a rejection rate of 4.1 per cent, Saudi Arabia 6 per cent, and Oman 8.7 per cent.

The countries with the highest rejection rates for a US Travel Visa are Somalia (70 per cent), followed by Djibouti (60.2 per cent), Yemen (54.3 per cent), Mauritania (49.7 per cent) and Iraq (42.2 per cent).
