New Zealand visa holders enjoy country's way of life

People with a visa for New Zealand also reported that six months after gaining permanent residency some 92 per cent said they were very satisfied or satisfied with their new life. The visa holders also reported that they planned to stay for three years or more.

Most people said a difficultly they faced when getting work in the country was their lack of experience in the New Zealand job market, but 70 per cent found employment was not a major problem. Two-thirds of all people engaged in New Zealand immigration, aged over 16, had a post-school qualification, an advanced vocational qualification or a degree. The only downside reported by some New Zealand visa holders was the higher cost of living than expected.
