India in top 5 "must-see" destinations

Neilson, a market research company, conducted the survey across nine countries, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and India. 

More than half of the Indian respondents said they would like to see their own country's tourist attractions before travelling overseas, reports Hospitality Biz India. According to the Annual Report of the Ministry of Tourism 2007-08, domestic tourism rose by nearly 20 per cent during 2006, from 380 million to 462 million sightseers.

In related news, CNN Money reports India is becoming a favourite destination for foreign skilled workers.  Over 30,000 migrants live and work in India now, and the Indian government are keen to accept more migrant workers, particularly in the fashion, healthcare, and biotechnology industries.
