Brits prefer NZ holiday over everyday luxuries

A survey conducted by the travel company shows Britons would rather go on holiday than make ends meet.  Over a third of those surveyed said they would stop eating out, and 14 per cent said they would stop drinking in pubs or smoking so they can go on holiday.

Anne Wilson, Business Development Director of said, "As a nation, we’ve always been much more likely to explore the four corners of the earth than to buy a flat screen TV. 

"Budget-conscious travellers willing to be flexible and spend time researching dates and destinations can still find the perfect trip at the right price."

Despite its distance from the UK, record numbers of British holidaymakers continue to hit the shores of New Zealand.  Each year, over 300,000 UK residents fly to work, holiday, or live in the country on New Zealand visas
