Cost Clerk is NOT currently on the Medium and Long term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) or the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL).

It is not possible to apply for an Australian visa under the General Skilled Migration (GSM) Program.

If you are aged under 31 (or 35 in some instances) it is likely you are eligible for a Working Holiday Visa to Australia which will allow you to live and work in Australia for up to two years.

  • summarising expenditure and receipts
  • preparing records of standard costs and values for items such as raw materials and packaging supplies
  • recording cost variations and contract price movements
  • compiling cost data for preparation of operating budgets, and profit and loss calculations
  • investigating the costs of proposed expenditures, quotations and estimates
  • preparing reports of total costs, inventory adjustments, selling prices and profits
  • may work in a call centre
