India visa checks to be tightened at airports

The Government will install new security systems and personnel for all India visa and passport checks after 3,600 cases of fraudulence were detected over the past three years. This will include using magnifying glasses and ultra violet lamps to scan documents and Passport Reading Machines for passport verification.

According to the Press Trust of India, travel agents supported by other offenders provide the majority of illegal India visa documents.
