What is a Working Holiday?

A working holiday can be a welcome escape for young travellers looking to truly experience a foreign country.  Many countries around the world offer a working holiday programme, which usually allow travellers to temporarily work to supplement a year-long holiday in that country.

For example, the Australia working holiday programme is a highly popular programme for young travellers.  The Australian working holiday visa gives young people between the ages of 18 and 30 the opportunity to enjoy 12 months to work and travel Australia, with a further possiblity of an extended stay in Australia for up to 24 months.
