Snoop Dogg gained UK Visa but banned by the Dutch

Snoop Dogg has been banned from performing at a festival in the Netherlands because police considered the rapper inappropriate for the event.

Earlier this week Snoop Dogg was granted a UK Visa to perform at summer events around the country, after a long battle to overturn a visa ban.

A 2006 scuffle at Heathrow between the rapper’s entourage and police  and conviction in the US were behind the decision by UK immigration authorities to ban Snoop from the country. The decision was overturned on February 26, 2010 and Snoop successfully applied for a UK Visa for the summer concert circuit.

However, authorities in the Netherlands have asked organisers to find a replacement act for Parkpop in The Hague because they wanted to guarantee the event's “open and friendly character”.

Organisers say they have little time to find a replacement act ahead of the 27 June gig.
