Attracting skilled workers most important to UK companies

Attracting and retaining skilled workers is regarded as the best way to sure competitive advantage for a business, according to new research. A report from KPMG has revealed that 83 per cent of companies surveyed said that "human capital" was the best way to keep an edge over their competitors. This could be good news for those interested in UK immigration. Nearly 200 senior executives at firms in the UK were surveyed for the research.

Ronnie McCombe, head of people services at KPMG said: "It is very frustrating for those businesses who spend time and money to train staff only to lose them not long after." He added that in the past few years there have been a number of companies which have looked to adopt a "more strategic approach" to these challenges. People looking to move to the country through UK immigration will be pleased to see how highly companies value employees currently. KPMG provides professional services in Britain.
