UK Visa issue continues for Crusaders’ new Australian players
Crusaders rugby league bosses will meet UK Borders Agency officials today in an effort to gain a UK Visa for three players still stuck in Australia.
Players Rhys Hanbury, Frank Winterstein and Hep Cahill remain in limbo awaiting a UK Visa to play for the Crusaders. Hanbury and Winterstein were Crusaders regulars last term while Cahill was a summer signing from Melbourne Storm.
Crusaders' 42-18 defeat at Hull FC last Friday was their third successive defeat - leaving them joint bottom of the early Super League table. The team could do with the boost from the three star players, with Hanbury and Winterstein big players for the team last season.
If the team gets bad news today from UK Immigration officials regarding the three than team bosses expect they will have to bring some fresh players.
Crusaders will travel back to Hull this weekend to face Hull FC's rivals Hull Kingston Rovers at Craven Park on Sunday.
