Yousuf gets UK Visa to join Pakistan squad for second test
Former Pakistan cricket captain Mohammad Yousuf has been granted a UK Visa and will be considered for selection for the second Test against England which starts on Friday.
Yousuf was prevented from joining his country's squad earlier because he did not have the correct UK Visa, but the 35-year-old batsman has been given the green light and is expected to arrive in the country today.
Team manager Yawar Saeed said Yousuf had a visitor’s visa, which would not have allow him to play with the team, so there was a delay while a sportsperson’s visa application was processed by the British High Commission in Islamabad.
Yousuf was recalled for the second test at Edgbaston, which starts on Friday, following Pakistan's first-test defeat.
The cricketer has not played for his country since January after he was banned indefinitely following the tour to Australia.
