American rapper Snoop Dogg has won a four-year battle to enter the UK, after a visit in 2006 resulted in a brawl at Heathrow and Snoop spending the night in jail.

UK immigration banned the rapper after he and five members of his entourage were arrested after a row over access to the British Airways first-class lounge, which left seven police officers injured.

Snoop was released with a warning for using threatening behaviour, British Airways banned him indefinitely, and UK immigration placed a permanent UK visa refusal on the singer.

Two London immigration tribunal judges overturned the ruling, agreeing that Snoop – real name Calvin Broadus – was not a threat to the public and his involvement in the Heathrow incident was relatively minor.

The singer is now able to apply for a UK visa and tour again in the country.

The UK Home Office said it was considering an appeal, saying the Heathrow brawl and Snoop's drugs and firearms convictions in the US meant he was a threat.
