A recent meeting with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari’s and the British foreign secretary’s special representative on Afghanistan and Pakistan Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles saw the two discussing issues of mutual interest including UK visas.
At the meeting President Asif Ali Zardari highlighted the difficulties faced by Pakistani nationals in obtaining UK visas and called for reducing visa-processing time.
President Zardari said he appreciated the measures being taken by the British government to Dhabi to clear the backlog of UK Visa applications.
Pakistani looks forward to support from the United Kingdom to continue gaining market access for Pakistani products in the European Union and the initiation of free trade agreements.
Zardari said his visits to the UK in August and September and the recent visits by the British home and defence secretaries had strengthened the dialogue between the two countries.
