British High Commissioner encourages visitors to UK education fair
The British High Commissioner has encouraged students interested in furthering their studied in the UK to attend the Education UK 2010 Exhibition.
The Education UK 2010 Exhibition at Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong on 3 February will give students more information on the various courses offered by universities and colleges in the UK, and UK immigration officials will be also on hand to assist with inquiries.
Representatives from 27 British education institutions will participate in the exhibit.
"I encourage students and parents alike to come to the exhibition and explore the myriad options for study in the UK," said British High Commissioner Rob Fenn in a statement issued by the British High Commission.
"These institutions have come all the way from Britain expressly to answer the questions of Bruneian students and parents alike. I encourage anyone curious about education in the UK to turn that curiosity into specific questions and come along to the Rizqun," he said.
Four seminars will also be held on the day including: Succeed in IELTS (International English Language Testing System), hosted by CfBT Education Services; Tier 4 student visa information, delivered by UK Border Agency; employability of UK graduates, by Tim Gutsell from the University of Essex; and UK postgraduate studies, by Jonathan Richards of Aberystwyth University.
