Government Authorised Exchange Category

The Tier 5 Government Authorised Exchange category is for people on specially approved government worker-exchange schemes.

The UK Government has, in the past, participated in worker exchange programmes designed to help share knowledge and skills between countries.  This Tier 5 work permit category is for workers who may fall under this category.

• Workers who are granted entry to the UK under this category will have a maximum of 24 months authorised stay.
