Work as a Nurse in New Zealand

New Zealand is starting to feel the crunch of a shortage of qualified nurses.  Hospitals and health centres across New Zealand are looking to the UK and Ireland to help ease the shortage.  Nurses, New Zealand needs you!

There are two main visa options for UK and Irish Nationals who want to work as nurses in New Zealand: Skilled Migration and Working Holiday Visas.

The Skilled Migration Category is the core of the New Zealand immigration system.  It is designed to attract workers with the skills that New Zealand's economy needs.  Nurses are in such high demand that they can migrate to New Zealand without a job offer.

The Working Holiday Visa is designed to allow people between 18 and 30 years of age to live, work and travel in New Zealand for up to 12 months. (Or, up to 23 months in some cases).  You can now apply online for a Working Holiday Visa to New Zealand.
