New Zealand recruitment boosted
New Zealand could see a significant boost to its legal industry with the announcement from London and Sydney-based legal recruitment agency GRLaw that it is to open a New Zealand office in Wellington. The company's expansion comes as Anna Welch, formerly based at GRLaw's London office, moves to the Wellington base, reports LawFuel.
The office will work closely with London and Sydney in assisting candidates wishing to relocate overseas to destination such as the UK, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. Ms Welch will also offer national recruiting services to those New Zealanders looking for legal-based employment. All three offices will be linked via a shared database which will allow Ms Welch to process requests from candidates who have returned from overseas experience while also dealing with clients wanting to relocate to New Zealand for a lifestyle change.
The move, which could potentally boost New Zealand immigration, will see Gavin Crocker, GRLaw's managing director, fly out to the country from his base at the London office to help settle the new office and assist Ms Welch in understanding the New Zealand legal sector and its recruitment needs. GRLaw offers legal recruitment services for lawyers, paralegals, legal secretaries and other legal support staff.
Anyone applying for a New Zealand visa should begin by taking Visa Bureau’s online assessment to see if they meet the basic legislative requirements.
