British immigrants still needed in New Zealand
Officials in New Zealand have said despite contrary reports the country still needs foreign migrants.
Manager at Immigration New Zealand Steve Cantlon said recently the current global climate meant the country had been forced to tighten the amount of trades it considers to be in need of.
"But New Zealand still needs skilled migrants," he said.
The changes does mean that British skilled workers who are eligible and wanting to immigrate to New Zealand are given the best possible opportunties to settle.
Having established new long-term skill shortage lists the country hopes to attract more electricians, builders and mechanics to immigrate to New Zealand.
