Auckland airport reaches second in polls
Auckland airport has received praise from passengers passing through it, leading it to be ranked as the second best in the Australia-Pacific region. People travelling to New Zealand have recommended Auckland airports services in this year's Skytrax awards, reports Stuff.co.nz.
Don Huse, chief executive of the airport, told the website: "It is very rewarding that the enormous amount of work we have been putting into improving the experience at Auckland Airport is appreciated by the people who matter the most, the travellers." He added that as Auckland competes in a global market it means the airport constantly has to boost its standards.
The winner in the competition for this region was Brisbane, with Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul Incheon and Kuala Lumpur taking the top spots in the world rankings. In the awards travellers were asked to rate check-in and departure services, shopping and dining facilities and security and immigration, according to News.com.au.
Anyone interested in taking a working holiday to New Zealand should confirm their eligibility by taking the New Zealand Visa Bureau's online New Zealand visa assessment.
