New Zealand skilled migrant visa selection

A total of 664  Expressions of Interest representing 1480  people were selected by the Government  on 4 November, and will now undergo preliminary verification.

•  366 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above;
•  118 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled employment in New Zealand.
• 53 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included 15 points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage.
• 40 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included 10 points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage.
• 47 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included 10 points for a qualification in an area of absolute skill shortage.
• 40 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 110 or more but less than 140. These EOIs did not claim points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled employment in New Zealand, work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage or for a qualification in an area of absolute skill shortage. These EOIs were ranked in descending order of points.

To be eligible to apply to emigrate to New Zealand under the skilled migration program you must be under the age of 56 years, meet the health, character and English language requirements and be able to meet the threshold of 100 points in the Points System to register an Expression of Interest.
