New Zealand working holiday places for Chinese open shortly
Immigration New Zealand has announced that working holiday places for Chinese nationals will open on 6 October.
Places under the New Zealand Working Holiday Scheme 2010/2011 annual quota for Chinese nationals will be released on 6 October, and the department expects interest in the places to be high.
There are 1000 places available annually to young citizens of China for a 12-month stay in New Zealand, and to manage demand New Zealand Immigration releases places in stages throughout the year.
On 6 October, from 10am New Zealand time, 250 places will become available.
The interest from potential applicants is expected to be much greater than the number of places available so the quota may be filled within a very short time of opening.
