Thousands of people in Scotland have attended the Emigrate show this weekend in Edinburgh as they contemplate Canada immigration, New Zealand immigration and Australia immigration. Up to 7,000 potential migrants are said to have attended the event in order to find out more about possible immigration to the countries, which are looking for skilled workers.
Alan Pettigrew, one of the people at the event, was contemplating a move to Nova Scotia, Canada and told Scotland on Sunday: "We live on a farm near Bonnybridge and for what I can sell that for I can get a place three times the size in Canada with no mortgage." He added that when you have a growing family the cost of living is also "a big factor". Canada is looking for people to enter the country to solve its skills shortages and people interested can fill out Canada online visa assessments.
Recently it was announced that British people are moving abroad to live in record numbers. Research from the Organisation of Economic Co-Operation and Development revealed that there are currently 3.25 million Britons living abroad.
Canada welcomes new immigrants: The Canadian Visa Bureau can assist skilled workers interested in Canadian immigration. More information on Canadian visas is available on the website. Anyone applying for a Canadian visa should begin by completing the online Canadian visa application to see if they meet the legislative requirements.
