US singer and actor Ja Rule has been forced to cancel a one-off show in Sydney on July 31 because of an Australia visa processing problem.

The Ja Rule concert has now been rescheduled by the promoters for August 25.

A number of high-profile rappers have encounted problems with their Australian tours.

Coolio was arrested for marijuana possession at Los Angeles International Airport and had to cancel his Australian tour earlier this year.

Snoop Dogg had his Australia visa cancelled in 2007 after pleading no contest to gun and drug charges in the US. Australian Immigration banned Snoop Dogg from entering Australia after failing the character test.
