Australia Needs Skills expo coming to London in effort to boost Australian immigration

The Australian government is hosting an Australia Needs Skills expo in London in March in an attempt to attract skilled workers to Australian immigration. People interested in living and working in Australia are being encouraged to attend the event. Australian employers will be on the look out at the expo for people skilled in jobs found on the Australia Migration Occupation in Demand List in particular.

Taking place on the weekend for the 15th and the 16th of March, people wishing to attend must register their interest in advance. Presentations will be taking place at the event on topics such as the Australian sponsored visa, the skill matching database and skilled visa assessing authorities. There will also be the chance to learn about independent Australian immigration for people who are under 45 years old.

Expos such as the Australia Needs Skills expo are being organised by the department for immigration and citizenship which attempts to "enrich Australia through the well managed entry and settlement of people", according to its website.

Australia needs skilled workers: Anyone applying for an Australian visa should begin by completing the Australian Visa Bureau's online Australian visa application to see if they meet the Australian visa requirements.
