The Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship has released details on the points allocated to each occupation under the new Skilled Occupation List (SOL).

The new SOL will come into effect on 1 July and will allocate points under the immigration system to applicants for a number of visa classes including for general skilled migration.

For the full list of occupations and visa classes affected you can read the legislation here.
In Schedule Four, the legislation also shows the potential occupations and points allocated for applicants nominated by a state or territory government for an Australian Visa.

Schedule Four is the list from which states and territories will choose occupations for their State Migration Plans, depending on each state’s needs.
It is not yet known when the states and territories will release their migration plans.

The Australian Visa Bureau is an independent consulting company specialising in helping people lodge their Australian Visa applications with the Australian Embassy.
